This is a small field of 2 layers of grass with a few additional plants and stones.
The ground consists of some simple displacement with a dirt material that shows through in some of the bare patches where there's not as much grass. Dandelions and a few other leafy weeds are scattered around with the grass, and there is even a short grass layer as well as a tall grass one.
The poly count is moderate in the viewport (16930 faces and 17716 vertices over the two layers), but there are millions of polygons in instanced particles scattered over the ground that are toggled visible in only the render.
The scene setup consists of a simple sun/sky lighting setup, with a black background plane behind the grass. The particle objects are all located on the second layer of the scene with another test lamp to preview them in their current positions.
All of the objects and materials are named respectively for ease of use and a streamlined workflow.
