Beschreibung
Bronze helmet used by gladiators when fighting in the arenas across the Roman Empire. This particular type of helmet was used by the murmillo gladiators. An almost identical one was unearthed from the ruins of the ancient Pompeii, dating from the 1st century of our era. The metal patina replaces the original yellowish-redish color of the bronze alloy.
