Sauropods (Greek for "lizard-foot") are an order of dinosaur found in the Late Triassic, Jurassic, through to the Late Cretaceous. Characterised by very long necks, long tails, small heads and thick, pillar-like legs, this group includes the largest animals to have ever lived on land including the well known Diplodocoids, Titanosaurs and Brachiosaurs.
