Beschreibung
A highly detailed model of an early space station design proposed by Werner Von Braun in the 1950's as Man's first outpost in space. The design was made popular in a 1950's series of issues of Collier's Magazine.
Model includes docking port, spin motors with fuel tanks, lighted portholes and a variety of communication antennas. Model also includes support wires used to connect the wheel to the hub.
Model uses PBR metallness textures in 4096 x 4096 pixels for the wheel and hub sections. The wires and the spin motors use 2048 x 2048 pixel texture sizes. Textures are authored in Substance Painter. The Substance Painter file is available as a customer-only download. Some luma and alpha maps are also supplied depending on the shader used. The Earth image used in the presentation image is 1024 x 1024 pixels.
Materials are supplied for Blender's Cycles render engine. Due to the PBR metallness textures used, it should be easy to use this model in any other renderer that uses a similar material workflow.
The HDR image used to render some of the images has been included in the texture set.
The model is made in meters as a unit of measurement. The Space Station is just over 75 meters in diameter.
The setup for the presentation image of the station in Earth orbit is in a second .blend file called 'SE_SpaceStation_earth.blend' The image of Earth is courtesy of NASA.
