NEO-CLASSICAL PALACE This Palace is based on the Achillion Palace on the Mediterranean Island of Corfu. The Palace is in the neo-classical style. This very detailed model has been created in 3ds Max 2012 and uses the mental ray renderer. All objects are textured. Thirty four different textures are used in all. Most textures use mental ray's shaders and templates. Fifty five custom images are used in the textures. The images sizes range from 256 x 512 to 2048 x 2048 and most are in power of two resolutions. All are JPG files. The model can be viewed in daylight or twilight by switching between two custom made scene states. The daylight state uses the mental ray daylight system. The twilight state is lit by forty seven lights plus an Omni 'moonlight'. All the lamp posts, lanterns and wall lights are lit. The palace interior has walls and floors to allow rooms to be selectively lit. The real world size of the palace is 33m by 41m. A small garden and simple terrain extends this further, but is mainly there to show the product in a landscape setting. Everything you see in the preview renders is included in the product. The model contains thirteen cameras most of which have been used to produce the published preview images. All the model's objects have been organised into hierarchical groups. All objects are editable polygons and have been cleanly modelled. The model is 98% quads, 2% tris and no ngons. Key objects in the model are: -Stylish, three floor neo-classical palace. Features detailed Ionic and Doric Columns. - Five types of vegetation: Yucca plant, Yucca tree, shrub, Silver leafed shrub and blue flowered shrub. - Two types of metallic fencing, one style of stone balustrade and one type of stone fence. - Wall lamps, hanging lanterns and a decorative lamp post. - Realistic grass (using 3ds Max Hair and Fur and an underlying grassy texture). The product has a high number of polygons which enables you to render good looking close ups throughout the scene. No sub-division has been used but all models are sub-dividable. All the preview renders were produced on a Windows 7 PC with 4gb ram.
