The Tornado Tower is a commercial office skyscraper located in Doha, Qatar. The tower rises to 200 m and for a total of 52 floors. The building has a concrete structure with an aluminium and glass facade. Tornado Tower was built in 2008 and has 23 elevators inside. The tower was designed by CICO Consulting Architects & Engineers and JSK SIAT Architekten. The lighting system can be animated to make the tower seem to be swirling like a tornado. The external lighting can be programmed to form various color combinations. The tower features an external lighting system whereby light fittings built into the intersections of the external steel lattice enable 35,000 different lighting combinations. The 28th floor comprises a restaurant and lounge area with a 360° view over Doha and the bay. The hyperboloid shape of the tower is intended to represent a desert whirlwind, hence the name "Tornado Tower". The native Sketchup file is in 2014 version, is geo-referenced and ready for Maxwell Render 3.0.5 for Sketchup.
