Advantages of CADs workpieces: Hi poly and low-poly together (maps baking possible). Inner parts or shell only together (cuts off, inner parts animation, semitransparent shell possible). Unlimited possibility to modify and re-use. I give only one variant of conversion Inventor to 3Dmax format with simple set of Autodesk materials.
