A crossbow modeled in Cinema 4D is compatible with versions 16 and 17 (maybe you can open it in previous versions, I have not tried.)
For this purpose the strings you need to install the plugin reeper 2.0
Model arms contains deforming Bend, and are also in symmetry and can thus be encouraged to taste.
