This old factory building was built at the end of the 19th century. As years passed new owners came and they rebuilt and rebuilt the original structure to accomodate the needs of their businesses. In the 20th century an inner iron structure was built to multiply floor space, with two cargo lifts and a complete air exchanger and fire extinguisher system. But finally the building became too obsolote for further upgrades and to spare the costs of demolition it's owner abandoned it. Since that time it is standing empty; rusting, decaying, completely forgotten. Water has found it's way through the leaking roof and grass started to grow in cracks. Originally designed and made by me in Lightwave 3D, never used in any projects. The model is realscale, the main hall is 32m wide, 55m long and 15m high. Outside grass and trees was made with instaning, so the objects only has one piece of these and about 8500 points as 'roots' for instances. (Therefore it is very easy to remove them.) It uses layered textures and procedurals to make conversion more easy. The objects is UV mapped and for the walls and internal structures it has two UV maps: one for the smaller detail and one for the larger. Procedural textures were heavily used on almost all materials. The original Lightwave scene has 250+ lights (lamps) and the instancing of grass and trees ready. All other formats are conversion done by third party software, therefore textures in those cases might need readjustment. The building can be 'renovated' very easily to use as a new building by simply swapping textures and/or removing the rust/decay layers. The whole internal structure can be removed by simply deleting some of the layers. Some features: - Two barn door, a side door and lots of internal doors - All windows are textured with handpainted dirt in the corners - An iron stairway structure and two cargo lifts - Air exchange tubes and machinery - Fire extinguisher tube network with water tanks in the roof and individual fire extingushers on the walls - Power cabling and lights - support pipelines for water, gas and power cabling - a ~2 m2 patch of grass, pine tree and some weed for instancing realistic looking exterior - broken chainlink fence around the building - Graffitis on the walls (from internet sources, they can be removed very easily)
