This model is based on the Orion F1 type of Geosynchronous Earth Orbiting Satellite built by BAE.
This satellite used an Apogee Kick Motor to reach GEO in an equatorial orbit after separation from the rocket.
The communications dish antennas were mounted on the East and West panels of this satellite and used for communications traffic . There a total of 16 thrusters on the satellite, 4 each on the East, West, North and Aft faces that are used for station keeping maneuvers. The satellite appears to be in a stationary location in the sky. I have included the object in both stowed and deployed configurations.
The .COB format files were initially made using trueSpace 3 and have been imported updated, tested and saved using trueSpace7. The background textures used for rendering are not included.
The solar arrays in the deployed model are movable. The axis of the model"s body and solar arrays have been set for use of the "Look At" tool in trueSpace to simplify animation. Also as recommended this model has all Intelligent object names added.
