Model of Center City Philadelphia extending from 30th St Station to the Wanamaker Building adjacent to City Hall. This model was built using available building height information and recent aerial and street photography. Individual buildings ranging from skyscrapers to row houses feature a significant level of realistic detail including recognizable architectural embellishments, pitched roofs, spires, parapets, and mechanical penthouses. The base is flat and easy to manipulate and includes line work of streets and blocks. Each building (or cluster of smaller buildings) is grouped. Additionally, all groups are extruded 50' below the base to accommodate grade manipulation and 3D printing tolerances for creating physical models.
