La description
There are multiple versions of the same model.
highpoly: 1.100.000 triangles (based on quad model)
midpoly: 100.000 triangles
lowpoly: 25.000 triangles
All bones are named properly in latin.
Textures are also named properly and will load automatically if kept in the same folder as either the .blend or .max files.
Geometry is kept as clean as possible and the highpoly version has quad-only topology with high level of detail (nerve tunnels and all delicate ridges and edges included).
The model was based on Grey's Anatomy and massive amount of image references across the internet and also reviewed by a doctor in the end to make sure maximum accuracy is achieved.
There are 2 kinds of mapping and texture types.
First is based on non-overlapping UV layout that has 2 materials: Skull and Skeleton/Bone.
Skull means Skull+Teeth
uses Skull_Diffuse and SkullUV_Normal (2048x2048px)
Skeleton/Bone is rest of the body
uses Skeleton_Diffuse and Skeleton_Normal (8192x8192px)
Second is based on generated procedural mapping and allows more detail and freedom of change.
It uses 3 materials:
Skull
needs Skull_Normal to achieve more detail, otherwise uses Bone_Diffuse for surface color
Bone
uses Bone_Diffuse and Bone_Normal
Cartilage
uses Bone_Diffuse and Bone_Normal with less bumpy surface and more bright surface
