Overview

The world map member of our 43K Earth family: a photoreal globe framed for cartographic work, where continents, coastlines and ocean shading read clearly on the sphere and on a flat map projection.

Geometry

4 geospheres with adjustable poly count, 40,000 polygons and 40,000 vertices as delivered. Everything stays editable, so mesh density can be raised or lowered in the scene. No seams or texture stretching on the surface.

Scene

Cinema 4D R20, default scanline settings, renders as delivered. Layers: Earth, Cloud, Atmosphere1, Atmosphere2, AtmosphereWhite, AtmosphereBlue, AtmosphereGreen, NightFog, Sunset. Prebuilt lighting: 5 day lights plus white, green and blue night sky lights and two night map background lights. Compatible with C4D 2011 and later.

Textures

Earth surface at 43200x21600: Color, Bump, Normal, SpecularEarth, SpecularSea. Night surface at 54000x27000. Cloud set at 43200x21600: Color, Normal, Bump, Specular. A 21K set is included in the same scene and can be swapped or combined. Plan for 16 GB RAM, a 2 GB GPU and 30 GB free disk; on a slow drive the first open takes several minutes.

NOT INCLUDED

Country borders, capital markers and place names. Star fields and space backdrops from the previews. Glow and colour grading added in compositing. HDRI environment images, third party render engines and plug-ins. Cinema 4D R20 is the only native scene supplied.
