Alcestis Habitat Vessel -
About the model:
The Habitat vessel itself is a nicely detail model, UV mapped, no overlapping UV"s. The model is native to Blender. The screenshots are shown using the included texturing except where noted with Vue textures. Those textures were done for the Vue version of the model.
This model also includes the Alpha-I model as an added bonus! This shuttle is also for sale separately. Please see my other models available. The Alpha-I shuttle, although UV mapped for some texturing, mainly relies on materials and therefore does have overlapping in the UV"s.
With this model you get the four different texture files that will give you the four different names of this craft as well as all other textures. I have also included a Photoshop version of the texture file with the layers if needed.
About the craft:
The habitat vessel is one of four of it’s kind that are connected to the Alcestis long range travel vessel via extended pylons. The pylons rotate to simulate gravity for the passengers. The Habitat has the ability to ‘break away’ from the pylon in order to travel short distances. For example, to load and unload passengers/supplies, it can dock with an orbiting space station. It also has 2 on-board shuttles mostly used to ferry support crew or VIP’s to and from the Habitat. The Habitat vessels themselves cannot enter a planet’s atmosphere safely, but the on-board shuttles can. The main purpose of the Habitat vessel is to provide transport for the passengers in cryogenic stasis for the duration of their travel. The secondary purpose is to transport supplies.
