The 1008 petalled flower dome is inspired by ancient mystic teachings from India where it is said that the seventh chakras, called the Sahasrara chakra, or energy centre on the top of the head actually consist of 1008 petals, each petal corrospond with a different spiritual or supernatural power. That is how the legend tells us.
