Overview
Mars built as a finished planet sphere for close range camera work, where the surface has to survive full screen framing. The colour layout follows the real surface pattern of the planet rather than procedural noise: Valles Marineris, Olympus Mons, the cratered southern highlands and both polar caps are all in place.
Geometry
Polygonal quads only. 225,000 polygons and 223,908 vertices. Equirectangular latitude and longitude UV layout, the standard mapping for planet spheres, so nothing has to be reprojected.
Textures
Five resolution tiers are included, each with Color, Bump, Normal and Specular maps: 32K at 32768x16384, 24K at 24000x12000, 16K at 16000x8000, 10K at 10000x5000 and 8K at 8000x4000. Use the tier that matches the shot - 32K for full frame close ups, 8K or 10K for background planets and animation tests.
Native Scene
Cinema 4D R20, Physical renderer. Two prepared scenes are supplied, a Mars Sky setup and a Mars Sunset setup, each with Mars, Atmosphere and Sunset layers and a nightSkyLight controller for the brightness of the night side. This listing is CheckMate Pro certified.
NOT INCLUDED
Star field, nebula, glow and lens effects seen in the preview images. Phobos, Deimos and any other planet or moon. Camera animation, HDRI environment and colour grading used for the previews. Rovers, landers, structures or ground level terrain patches.
Note
This is a complete planet model with its surface maps applied, not a texture only pack. The same planet is published in lighter 24K, 16K and 10K editions if a background shot does not need the full resolution.
