This is a model of an electric component called toroidal-core transformer. It is designed for photorealistic renderings, closeups, marketing and general 3d use. Current 3d model is perfect for use in any technical composition, as a part of power electric scheme, as a main object of working table, and is a good classic engineering attribute. It is made non- covered with varnished paper (which is technically correct) to give the transformer better appeal. Model is very detailed while having moderate number of polygons thanks to wise subdivision levels distribution and normals map technology. --MESH-- This model contains 16 geometry objects. They are transformer core, external winding, four in-out wires with plugs and heat contracting insulators on each of them, and the two insulators on the high-voltage inputs. Internal winding and metal plugs have unwrapped mapping. This model consists of 68 368 triangles and 34 312 verts. --TEXTURES-- This model has three textures: 4096 normals map and 2048 diffuse wire darkenings texture for solid windings; 621 steel scratches texture for small metal plugs. --FORMATS-- The original file is presented in 3ds Max 2010 format with V-Ray materials. This product includes universal FBX version with Standard materials for using as a generic format or for users of lower 3ds Max versions as well as for non-Vray users. The additional formats as OBJ and 3DS can be used in variety of software. All formats except original 3ds Max 2010 + V-Ray have standard basic materials applied. All parts come as separate objects in mutual group. Solid winding object has geometry-based relief, and it has mapping for using specially created normals map, which adds more detail. When using any of the universal formats, apply the normal map at your own discretion. Please note, that the copper material is mainly the reflection of surroundings, so you have to make sure to have or imitate the surroundings. --GENERAL-- All preview images are rendered with V-Ray. Product is ready to render out-of-the-box. Please note that the lights, cameras, and any background not described above objects are not included in the product. The model is clean and alone in the provided files, centered at origin and has real-world scale, which is 159 millimeters in diameter of the transformer body.
