The .c4d model is rigged with user data (applied to the "tape measurer" null) such that the tape is extendable to 10ft. See the preview animated image of the tape extending (only to 19 inches. the full 10 foot extension is marked with appropritate measurements). The lock lever on the body of the tape measurer is also controlled with the user data. The materials use the color and reflectance channels. The 2 texture bitmaps are included. The rigging makes use of c4d's extrudeNURBS. Most of the body is polygonal (some n-gons), but I've left primatives where possible in order to give you the most flexibility possible. The .3ds, .obj, .dae, and .fbx versions were exported from c4d with default settings. In these exports, the tape is fully extended (10ft), and the textures are included; so that you can rig it to your needs.
