Multicolored light bulbs, portable Droplight.
Cords, wires are made by spline with the ability to edit (besides FBX file) - you can hang light bulbs at any point at any height.
If it is very dark / light - decrease / increase the values of VrayLight / CoronaLight, taking into account the peculiarities of the camera's light-perception in your scene.
