Neri&Hu took this historic typology and updated it to create the Platform sofa, a contemporary sofa with a simple profile. Deep arms form two useful shelves, as well as side tables for books or a cup of tea.The solid wood frame cradles our tired bodies on a lazy Sunday morning, as addicts to our newspapers and coffee instead of the opium in imperial China. The Platform Sofa is featured here in Brown Stained Ash. The Short version comes with four small throw cushions and two large back cushions, and the Long version comes with five small throw cushions and three large back cushions as standard. The throw cushions are feather-filled and the seat cushions are made from memory foam and Dacron.
