1st Century era Roman Gladius Sword model and textures. The Gladius sword was used by Gladiators in arena combat and Roman soldiers in close quarters fighting. The double edged iron blade has small nicks and details that imply previous use and wear. The wooden hand guard acts as a buffer between the blade and the leather ridged grip. The large, rounded wooden pommel and bronze end hilt cap provide a solid counterweight for deadly slashing attacks. The Gladius sword uses 2048 x 2048 diffuse, spec, gloss, and normal maps that are included in the TGAs zip folder. Use it as a primary melee weapon or as an accessory for your character model!
