Alien Moon UDK is a ready-to-use environment for creating game levels in the UDK engine. Alien Moon UDK is not a game; it is an alien world for you to create your own game in by adding your custom characters, vehicles, weapons and structures. Alien Moon UDK is sold with the permission of Epic Games, Inc. This product does not include any art assets from Epic Games or Unreal Tournament. PLEASE NOTE: In March, 2014, Epic Games released UE4, the latest version of the Unreal Engine. UE4 is not backward compatible with UDK. Many fundamental elements such as lights and materials have been changed, and UDK game levels and packages cannot be imported directly into UE4. The static meshes, textures and landscape heightmaps in this product are compatible with UE4. Skilled users of UE4 may be able to import much of Alien Moon UDK into the new engine; however, NO WARRANTY IS MADE that Alien Moon UDK's content will work in UE4. This product has been tested in multiple releases of UDK, including the most recent February 2014 release. The product includes two versions at no extra charge – a legacy Terrain version and the newer Landscape version. Either version is usable and editable in any release of UDK since March, 2011. Installation is very easy and only requires pasting three files into the appropriate folders (instructions included). Once installed, users may play the basic UDK Deathmatch game in Alien Moon at once. This product is intended for ground level / low altitude gameplay. It is not suitable for flyovers. Alien Moon UDK is ideal for students learning UDK, for small game developers using UDK, and for anyone learning UDK who wants a convenient way to dive straight into game design. FEATURES – Alien Moon UDK includes: Three additional mountain ranges (Terrains/Landscapes)to partially occlude horizon Scaled and stretched static meshes to occlude horizon and hide bottom of skydome Four large craters with entrance paths for moon bases, landing platforms, etc. Three deep canyons and many smaller valleys, all designed to allow passage of default UDK bots. Flat plains and plateaus for vehicle combat gameplay A rock maze, a cave, a “valley of fire” and a valley of “stone mushrooms” Skydome with starfield, nebulae and galaxies Large ringed planet with optional haze, to resemble gas giant. Planet material pans to simulate rotation. 743 detail models (cliff faces, peaks, outcrops, small craters, etc) and 1541 small rocks on ground. 27 prototype static meshes in the UDK .pkg file Animated atmospheric effects – fogs in canyons and cave, fire and lava effects in Valley of Fire. 36 original textures – 21 texture maps, 15 normal maps, 36 UDK materials in the .pkg file 10 pages of Instructions and Tips For Use 4 Terrains/Landscapes 76 lights 10 blocking volumes and 2 fog volumes 8 particle emitters, 2 ambient sound effects and 6 visual effects (2 flickering lights, 4 particle systems) 391 path nodes and 36 player starts Textures: All texture maps are .tga file format. All texture sizes are powers of 2.
