C172 is built very near to scale, within a few inches of actual general dimensions. It has many animateable features including ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propeller, retractable landing gear and nose gear doors. This model is fairly detailed and includes the ELT antenna and picot tube as well as some interior cabin features and controls. It has a nice instrument panel. It comes in more than 10 different formats. The Cessna 172 is the most successful mass produced light aircraft in history with over 43,000 produced. Cessna introduced a retractable landing gear version of the 172 in 1980 and named it the Cutlass 172RG. It featured a variable pitch, constant-speed propeller and a more powerful engine. 172RG was adopted by many flight schools since it met the specific requirements for "complex aircraft" experience.
