This is 3dsMax 2010/2013 scene of a Farnworth Chesterfield leather sofa with buttons. The model is high poly and has VRay materials. It is a group of 16 objects, each with its own modifiers and material.
The materials have a Diffuse map and a normal map in the Bump slot. The Diffuse map is a VrayCompTex. The VrayCompTex has a black and white bitmap as the SourceA map and a Color Correction map as the SourceB. Changing the Basic Color of the Color Correction map gives the sofa the desired color. Changing the RGB Offset value of the B&W SourceA maps, makes the dark parts of the leather color more or less intense (see example images presented here). One can achieve many different color schemes this way and make the sofa fit in nicely with the rest of an interior scene.
