The Curtiss F-11C2 was a 190s naval bi-plane fighter that saw limited service in the US Navy but more service in South American Navies. It was designed, built and tested from 1930 through 1932 and saw service in the US Navy from 1932 through 1935. It was however made obsolete by other aircraft that were designed in the mid 1930s for the same purpose that had retractable landing gear. The Goshawk was one of a long line of Curtiss Hawk fighters developed from the mid 1920s straight through 1946. The Goshawk was liked by the pilots and had good performance for its era and type.
