기술

This twelve sided star is a great decorative item. I created these files using Solidworks and printed them with the Dremel Idea Builder. I recommend making the star in two ways: 1) 3D printing the parts separately with the Star Base and the Star Spike files included and assemble them with an epoxy glue. Doing this method allows you to make a much bigger star by scaling it to the size you want, if it is within the measurements of the printer, and does not require support material. The results of this method is represented by the larger of the stars in the attached images. 2) Slicing the Star Assembly file into multiple pieces. This method is represented with the smaller star in the attached images. The more you slice the parts, the larger you can make the star. This method can be beneficial since there is less parts to have to attach together, but supports are recommended. You can also try to use the Star Assembly file and try printing this directly, but I found that this method had troubles attaching the spikes to the build platform. If you decide to do this method, make sure supports are used. I hope you enjoy making this star as I have and that you have great results with it!
