Name of the model: " Discocone Conch Ornamented 2"
Triangles: 1285354
Vertices: 642679
Information: This model emulates an almost oxyconic conch known as discocone with ornamentation (ribs of three orders). In oxycones the umbilicus is not well exposed, and the overall shell form is compressed. According to Westermann (1996) the whorl height shows pronounced expansion during accretion of the recent 180 of shell whorl. Oxycones would have offered higher stability and maneuverability than other forms, and generally a short body chamber.
