A late 21st century fighter. The design is based on plan drawings by a former NASA engineer named Terry Hancock. It's a two-person vessel, and not intended for atmospheric use. A note on textures: all of the decals are included. Other apparent textures, such as normal/spec mapping, are based on simple procedural textures. These are included in the default (.blend) file, but may require adjustment in the exported formats. A few technical notes on the ship's design: The primary drive system is a "plasma impeller", which uses the interplanetary medium as a fuel source. This is housed in the long tail shaft. The secondary drive system is an ion (charged particle) drive. Finally, you have the two liquid fuel (conventional rocket) engines. The main power plant is a nuclear reactor, which is isolated from the cabin section for radiation protection. The "wings" are actually radiator panels (similar to the TCS system on the International Space Station). Additionally, the "sun side" of the panels contain solar cells for backup/alternate power generation. The weapon system is an advanced railgun array. The guns fire in diagonal parallel to equalize "torque steer" along the thrust axis (the ship doesn't "twist" when shooting). The ammunition is small sections of copper wire which are sent to the gun via a spool and then cut and loaded. The lack of projectile mass is offset by the high velocity - a small object is sufficiently powerful when fired at nearly light-speed. There is one docking port on the top of the vessel for entry/exit. It has no landing gear or other doors - this ship isn't capable of atmospheric flight.
