The Hamilton Pulsar was the world’s first LED watch, introduced to the watch market in 1970. The Pulsar was actually made by two companies, Hamilton and Electro/Data, Inc. The LED display for the watch consisted of 27 diodes per digit and was modeled on the Hewlett-Packard 5082-7000, the first LED display package.
