S-FTP PiMF Cat7 PATCH high quality The IBM Advanced Connectivity System (ACS) embraces a complete range of components consisting of installation cables, patch panels, telecommunication outlets and patch cords which include UTP, FTP, SFTP, SSTP and fibre solutions. The products are arranged into four families with a different level of performance; all the products in the family exceed the relevant performance of the ISO/IEC, CENELEC and TIA/EIA. The ACS range was launched internationally in the spring of 1993. The IBM ACS portfolio includes shielded and unshielded solutions but the shielded product is the focus of the IBM ACS range. IBM ACS solutions are available in Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 7 versions, and can be installed using UTP, FTP, SFTP, SSTP (PVC and LS0H) cable versions. The system based on RJ45 connectivity (Cat 5, Cat 5e and Cat 6) is the most well known and flexible, using a patch panel with swivel-mounted connection points, facilitating ease of installation. The basic building block is a series of 4/8-port modules which are mounted into 19" rack panels. IBM"s MiniC solution (Cat 7) launched in 1997 (350MHz), combines a MiniC connector with a high speed 100 ohm SSTP cable. The new generation MiniC released during 1999 (600 MHz) can support data transmission up to 1 GHz, fulfilling the expected demand for a proposed Category 7 class F system.
