The Super Chief was one of the named passenger trains and flagship of the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe. It was operated from 1936 until it ceased operations in 1971. It claimed to be the train of the stars as many celbrities rode the train between Los Angleles and Chicago. Super Cheif ran initially once weekly until 1938 and then twice weekly and daily after 1948. It served gourmet meals on board to passegers.
