Realistic 3D model of a wooden wall thermometer, Celsius scale. Model is suitable for close-up renders, design visualization and real time applications. Features: - Ready to render. - Originally created with 3DS Max 2018. - Optional PBR textures set included. - You can set the temperature by changing the z-scale of the object "Liquid" (no translation needed). - You can set the color of the liquid by changing the Diffuse parameter of the material "MatLiquid". - All objects and materials are descriptively and uniquely named. - All objects are logically grouped, for easy selection and management. Geometry: - Model geometry consists of quads only. - All objects are UV mapped with unwrapped, non-overlapping UVs. - Model is compatible with subdivision without changing its original format. - Model contains 6 separate objects: Wood, Glass, Liquid, LiqBottom, FixTop and FixBottom. - All objects have sealed geometry (no openings where backfaces would be visible). - No isolated or coincident vertices and no overlapping faces. - No vertex is connected to more than 5 edges (no poles). - No instances or references. Poly count: - Model contains 2,308 quads without subdivision. - Model contains 2,318 vertices without subdivision. Materials and textures: - All texture paths are stripped. - Model uses 4 materials: MatWood, MatGlass, MatLiquid and MatFix. - MatFix and MatWood share the same texture set. - MatLiquid is parametric only (no textures). - 3DS Max + VRay format uses 4 PNG textures at 2048 x 2048 and 1 HDR map at 1024 x 512. Textures are Diffuse, Glossiness, Bump and Refraction. - 3DS Max + Default Scanline format uses 3 PNG textures at 2048 x 2048 and 1 HDR map at 1024 x 512. Textures are Diffuse, Glossiness and Bump. - The optional extra ZIP file "Bonus_PBR_Textures" includes 5 PBR textures (Base Color, Ambient Occlusion, Metalness, Roughness and DirectX Normals). - On 3DS Max, materials can be found on Slate Material Editor. Preview images: - Preview images depict the actual model, with no post processing. - All rendered preview images use subdivision level 2, unless otherwise stated. - All wireframe preview images use no subdivision, unless otherwise stated. - All preview and wireframe images are rendered with V-Ray 3.60 for 3DS Max 2018, unless otherwise stated. The use of other versions may produce variations in the results. - Only default pose included. Other poses shown on preview images are possible by moving, rotating and scaling elements, as pivots are placed properly. - Scene elements and wall depicted on some preview images are not included in the files. Units and measurement: - Model uses real world scale. - Unit system is metric (centimeters). - Complete model dimensions: 3.5 cm width x 13.5 cm height x 1.6 cm deep (1 12/32" x 5 10/32" x 20/32"). Available formats: - 3DS Max 2018 / V-Ray 3.60. - 3DS Max 2018 / Default Scanline. - FBX 2011 - OBJ Additional notes: - This is a downloadable 3D model, not a real world object. - 3DS Max / V-Ray format requires V-Ray for 3DS Max properly installed on the computer. - FBX and OBJ formats use simplified versions of the complex materials and will not render exactly equal to the preview images. - For your convenience, all 3DS Max files have Subdivision Level 2 applied to the top group of the model by default. You can disable this by unchecking TurboSmooth on the modifiers stack.
