The CRJ100 is the original 50 seat version regional airliner originally designed and built by Canadair. It is built in Canada by Bombardier and used by airlines all over the world. The CRJ100 was built with the Challenger design. The design was purchased from Lear Jet and almost immediately Canadair began looking at stretching the aircraft to accommodate more seats.
