This is a generic model of a kitchen hob based on commercial products, but it is not a specific brand. It has however a standard size of 650mm x 550mm (approx. 30" x 21") and its parts have real life dimensions. The model is made exclusively out of quads, to be subdivided. It is supplied already with a subdivision level of 3, but you can vary the levels in Lightwave according to your needs. Please note that the kitchen furniture is not included. Each part of the model has its own material: Grill, Base, Burner base, Burner flame splitter, etc. These are all nodal or standard materials that do not require texture maps nor UV mapping. Each part of the model sits on a separate, similarly named layer: Hob_Grill, Hob_Base and so on. Please note that the "Hob_Graphs" layer contains the graphical elements, i.e.: the knobs labels. These are 9 quads (the only ones that should not be subdivided) that sit a fraction of a mm on top of the underlaying geometry. These have a simple material applied comprising a texture map + transparency (clipping) map. Only 3 images are required to produce all labels and are supplied at a resolution of 1200 x 1200 pixels. Its all done already, just place your model in your scene and hit render. Materials included with the model are the ones used for the rendered thumbnails, however the HDRI used for illuminating the scene is not included. For best results of the metallic materials use a HDRI at least as an environment map for reflections. A standard Lightwave Scene is included with all components of the model parented to a null. If the model is opened in a Lightwave version prior to 11.6 a "missing plug-in error" message may appear upon loading. Just dismiss the message and save. No Third-party plug-ins are required to use this model.
