KK87830 PROPELLER STOOL
Designed by Kaare Klint.
The Propeller Stool is a light, foldable stool with the option of being turned into a small side table.
This folding stool has two propeller-shaped legs that form a round stick when folded, and came into being in 1930 as a school exercise by one of Kaare Klint's students. The stool was not produced during Klint's lifetime. A prototype was first made in 1956, and the stool was put into production in 1962. The Propeller Stool is produced in light or smoked ash with a natural canvas, oxhide, or goat hide seat.
Kaare Klint is known as the godfather of modern Danish design. As a member of the older generation, he was an influential founder and teacher at the furniture school of the Royal Academy (1924). There he helped create the fundamental approach and shape the views of some of most of renowned designers of the Danish Style such as Poul Kjrholm, Brge Mogensen and Ole Wanscher.
The Max file (2009) includes all materials ready to be rendered in V-Ray.
The light rig does not include in the file.
The smoothed model has 370,336 polygons and 187,226 vertices.
