Omschrijving

These cranes have been designed for work on particularly high buildings or in extremely restricted spaces. A new development is the option of fitting these cranes with a horizontal load path. When the jib is moved, the hoist gear is controlled in such a way as to ensure that the hook travels horizontally. These luffing-jib cranes can avoid any obstruction and slew through 360° under load. Their small slewing radii and raised jib angles of 15 to 70°, even when not in operation, make these cranes particularly advantageous in operations on tight sites containing numerous cranes with overlapping slewing areas. The existing very good crane concept was retained and used as a basis to improve the crane's space requirement. The position of the jib when it is not in use was changed, however. A reduction of approx. 8'-2'' was achieved for the common 164'-0'' radius – from 65'-3'' to 57'-1''. Together with the small slewing radius of 24'-6'', this means that the crane can operate freely in very constricted areas. This is a real boon for economical crane operations involving multiple cranes in a small area.
