---General Information--- This is a detailed model of an old gas can featuring a heavily weathered and worn metal texture. The model has been attached together with all objects combined onto a single texture sheet. Model features quad based geometry (no triangles or n-gons) and is built to real-world scale using cm (Centimeters). The model is 45.75 cm (18.01 Inches) tall. Model is constructed using a non-destructive workflow with the modifier stack intact, allowing the subdivision level to be changed or completely removed without issue. The file comes with 1-iteration of Turbosmooth applied to the gas can, which is suitable for standard renders. 2-iterations are recommended for close-ups, but again these can be changed or removed if needed. ---Organization---- The file is well organized and contains a proper naming convention, as well as separate layers for the geometry and lights. ---Lighting--- The file includes a studio lighting rig consisting of 4 VRay lights, as well as image based lighting (IBL) for additional environment lighting and reflections. The HDR image is included with the file and all render settings are already setup in Vray and ready to go. All preview images shown were rendered using VRay with the same settings. ---Textures & Materials---- Includes extremely high resolution 4K (4096x4096) Diffuse, Spec and Normal Maps and the material/shader. The environment image (HDRI) has a resolution of 15000x7500 and is included with the file as well. Gas Can (VRay Material) Diffuse Map: 4096x4096 pixels Spec Map: 4096x4096 pixels Normal Map: 4096x4096 pixels Environment Lighting & Reflections (Map) HDRI Image: 15000x7500 ---UVs--- All elements have been unwrapped and are non-overlapped allowing each uv cluster to receive unique uv space. A second Unwrap UVW modifier has been applied to each object above the first Turbosmooth modifier allowing the subdivided UVs to be relaxed a second time to remove any UV distortion caused by the first iteration of subdivision. This will allow the model to be subdivided further without distorting the UVs. ---Polycount--- Basemesh (No Subdivision): Verts: 4,898 Polys: 4,825 Turbosmooth (1-iteration): Verts: 19,440 Polys: 38,600 Turbosmooth (2-iterations): Verts: 77,474 Polys : 154,400 ---Format Notes--- The .FBX, & .OBJ versions of this model do NOT include lights or materials. The base polycount for these versions is: Verts: 19,440 Polys: 19,300 ---Render Time--- The render time for the first preview image above was 2 Minutes, 33 Seconds at a resolution of 1480x800 on an Intel Core i7-2600k (8 core) CPU at 3.40GHz.
