It's a high detailed portable linear PCM recorder, Sony PCM-D100.
You can use 3ds Max for rendering with V-Ray.
You can also use 3DM or SAT for Nurbs modeler like Rhino.

In MAX file, all objects have hierarchy structure and dummy ojbects are included.
