-No n-gons, quad dominant -Easily switchable materials -Just over 300k verts for the entire model (all 32 pieces on the board) -UV unwrapped with no overlapping on any of the pieces, very small amount of overlapping on the board (3% in Unreal Engine) and the board is the less complex object anyway. The model is fairly high poly if all pieces are included. I typically work in UE4 so did not texture in Blender. Good if you want a chessboard that is dominant in your scene, or if you only want to include some of the pieces, since the board is quite low poly.
