Forsythia Notes : Forsythia became known to the western world in the XVIII century. It was named in honor of William Forysth, director of the Chelsea Physic Garden. It has soon become a very popular gardening species because of its spectacular yellow flowering, which is one of the earliest and announces the arrival of Spring.
