Kolumna grecka Model 3D

This is a model of an ancient Greek Column. The style is representative of the Greek Ionic period. An interesting feature of this model is the uncommon tri-spiral arms. Most Ionic columns have a set of 4 spiral arms on the capital. This triangular design is very elegant, showing the Greeks" mastery of mathematics and sculpture. I used 3ds Max 2012 for modeling, and I rendered with mental ray 3.9. The lighting is simply 1 "mr area omni", and the column has a modified Autodesk Material Library material. All of the model"s elements have UVW Mapping applied. Pivot Points are set to the origin and XForms are reset on all components. This is a very Hi-Res model. The model can be rendered extremely close-up. The edges flow well throughout the model. N-Gons are used for caps and cause no artifacts or distortions. The 3ds Max scene file and the included texture and material library are all located within a standard 3ds Max project folder named "Greek Column". Simply load the .max file located in the "scenes" folder, and the textured model is ready to render error free. This Greek Column is definately eye catching. It is true to scale and form, and is a valuable addition to any classic architectural project.
