This is a collection of 12 high quality game ready maple trees with varying size and density of leaves. The intended use of this product is for quickly populating a video game level or background of a scene. Each tree uses the same set of textures, lessening the burden on your engine or system, while unique enough in its size and density to avoid the dreaded "procedural" look. Each branch of leaves are 2 intersecting polygons, they are generated from carefully crafted high poly models using industry standard projection methods, capturing a more realistic representation of the orientation of actual leaves in the normal map, as opposed to results the usual photograph 'cutout' method yields. The renders above are of the maple tree in this collection with the highest polycount. The renders are done in mental ray daylight system with the mental ray arch and design material. But keep in mind that this was created with the intention of game development, the same textures can be applied to the more commonplace standard material very easily. My intention with this product is to provide a game friendly solution to populating large scene with foliage that look realistic and uniform, with enough variation that the customer can feel reassured that he won't need to purchase another maple tree again.
