Super Constellation Model 3D

The model 1049 which was to be known as the 'Super Constellation' incorporated a stretched fuselage increasing passenger seating from 69 to 92 and greater fuel capacity with thev option of using wingtip tanks.. The Super Constellation was certified on November 29th 1951 and seemed to be the aircraft that airlines wanted and the order book rapidly increased, with 100 on order before the prototype flew. Sadly, perhaps the intoduction of the De Haviland Comet and the 707 dealt a rapid end to the long range commecial propliner and Constellations rapidly disappeared from the major airlines
