PRODUCT DESCRIPTION This is a High Definition model of the DRRS Damper Arm used to stabilise the Saturn Apollo and Skylab launch vehicles during rollout and high winds between 1967 and 1973. This support arm has been built to accurately align with both my Saturn Apollo and Saturn Apollo Lite models allowing close up rendering of it attached to the Launch Escape Tower (LET) and CSM (not included), without the need to purchase the whole Apollo Mobile Launcher product. It can also be used as a generic support arm to connect other launch towers to rockets of a fiction based nature. Modelled with precision using the original architect's scaled drawings, along with extensive photographic and video research. Modelled with LightWave 9.6 USAGE Suitable for HD video, high-res film close-ups and print SPECS Model contains the following: 1 object layer 17598 polygons 14732 quads, 2866 tris, and 0 ngons Standard Lightwave materials & texture maps PRESENTATION IMAGES HDRI skydome used in preview images NOT included in file. Preview Images rendered with default Lightwave 9.6 scanline renderer. TEXTURES 7 texture (bump) maps and 2 UV maps (PNG format) scaled at 36 pixels per foot. For the LWO model both XYZ Projection and UV mapped versions are included: Non-native FBX and OBJ models are both also UV mapped. GENERAL Model built to real-world scale Units used: Feet and Inches. Damper Arm is approx 55 feet long. 'Damper Arm SA aligned.lwo' model is set up to exactly align with the Saturn Apollo launch vehicle. The arm is also available as a separate standalone model to be repositioned as required when matched to other launch vehicle scenes.
