CAD Strat-Style Electric Guitar Modelo 3D

This is an electric, strat-style guitar modelled in Rhinoceros. The model was exported to Blender hence the little bit strange mesh. The mesh was cleaned up, so it looks better in renders. All materials are setup for Cycles. Each part of the guitar's body can be covered in a different material if you like (see the multi coloured images). Most of the objects are UV unwrapped, but not all are non-overlapping. The body is unwrapped as non-overlapping. OBJ and FBX files were exported from Blender. 3dsmax version uses Arch & Design materials. CAD models are also included. IGS and STP were exported from Rhinoceros. Some boring details of the CAD model: The body is a water-tight poly-surface. The body of the guitar can be even machined and you could actually build your own. The CAD model is available with and without a binding channel (the groove for the binding) all around the main body. The body is designed to house a specific bridge. I wouldn't bet on it that the neck and the head can be also machined, but you are free to try. Enjoy!
