The model is an accurate representation of real Grand Canyon large area. Based on high-quality landscape data. Spatial resolution for height map is 1/3 arcsec or 10 meters per pixel. But since the selected area is extremely large, it would take about 0,5 billion polygons to get all the details, so the main displacement map is less accurate(8k * 4k). The primary map allows max resolution when using 33 million polygons. If you prefer using 10m per pixel displacement resolution, you can use it. I added 32k*16k displacement map resolution in TEXTURES folder. So I suggest you select the desired area in that map, crop it and use it as displacement map. It can be done very fast and you can get displacement map for every part of Grand Canyon. The x axis dimensions are 224,95 km (139,77 miles) and y axis dimensions are 112,47 km (69,88 miles). The models are real-world scale, but since the software has some size limitations(99 km), the object size was divided by the factor of 10. That means you need to multiply, scale object size by 10 to get real-world scale result. I also added 2 gradients .tiff textures. Included: - models, materials seen on preview images - 3 models: high detail model with 2,56 million polygons medium detail model with 640.000 polygons low detail model with 160000 polygons - mental ray, vray and standard materials - 2 .tiff elevation gradient textures(as seen of preview images) - 8*4k displacement map - additional 32k * 16 k displacement map based on 10 m per pixel resolution (1/3 arc sec) - Product manual.
