Materials in the 3d scene are vray, but also you have in the package and standard materials for this 3d scene. Images of this scene were made with vray rendering system, with vray materials. When you open the file of 3DS Max and start rendering you will get these pictures as you see. So, if you want a night scene, open the file: Christmas_House_Vray_Night, or if you like day scene open file: Christmas_House_Vray_Day. Of course, you can set the scene as you want. Both types of material are available with this 3d scene, so you can use vray rendering system, mentalray rendering system and standard rendering system.
