After downloading, make sure to drag the folder out of the zip folder, so all the file paths are recognized and everything renders properly.
Here's another chapter in journey to create the most realistic Remington 700 I can... The internal parts are modeled. 
It's not rigged or animated, but just simply a raw file. I scavenged many pictures and videos to get this created. Most things in this model are accurate, some may not be... primarily because I did not manage to get my hands on a reference image for that specific part. If you dislike something in the model, you are free to edit it and revise it to fit your needs. For you, this model can serve as a good start.

Uses an HDR from hdrihaven.com.

Modeled in Blender 2.79 and rendered in Cycles with HDR lighting
