Detailed 3D Model of a Crystal

  • This is a vray scene
  • Studio setup is included
  • All preview images are renderoutputs
  • Some images show the material with dispersion
  • In the 3dsmax file the rock has a turbosmooth modifier - you can crank the value up to get more details on the rock
  • You see several turbosmooth iterations in the wireframe images
  • FBX and OBJ use a lower TS iteration
  • The images were rendered with 5 TS iterations

Stone TS iterations; TS 1x = 2600 polys TS 2x = 8300 polys TS 3x = 31000 polys TS 4x = 123500 polys TS 5x = 492000 polys

The title image shows what you can do with the model. It was rendered with vray using high settings and dispersion. Also check out the photoshop file for the postwork that was done…curves, glare, highlights, etc. All the other images are renderoutputs that you get when you open the file and hit render.
