You might also want to paint in the bone wieght maps.
Model is in it"s subdevided state, for easier animation. again I would suggest keeping modeler open when your animating him, and using the dynamic up-date to transfer between polygonal and Subdevided states. And save a separate frozen version when you want to complete your Final Rendered animation.
